HP Targets Passive Candidates Using Hybrid Recruiting to Hire Top Talent

Between the talent shortage and extreme competition for quality tech talent, HP’s internal HR and recruiting teams struggled to source the right volume of talent they need to support ongoing development, product launches, and services. They needed an RPO partner who could identify additional talent pools and create a scalable, on-demand solution to meet their fluctuating talent needs across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Building a Successful Talent Solution
To meet HP’s hiring requirements within the restricted technology talent markets around the world, Pierpoint deployed an on-site team to redesign their sourcing strategy to target passive candidates with proven skills and experience in the required Engineering, Software Development, and IT roles.
A virtual team delivered RPO support to attract and hire Cloud, Consulting, Finance & Accounting, and Sales positions based on HP’s changing operational needs for their different locations.
By reorienting HP’s candidate targeting to focus on passive candidates, Pierpoint significantly improved the quality of candidates they attracted. Pierpoint’s teams then streamlined HP’s screening process to ensure that the right candidates were then interviewed and hired quickly and efficiently.
This led to HP’s time-to-fill being reduced to 24-30 days. Through the success and quality of the candidates sourced by both our volume hiring RPO efforts, the partnership between HP and Pierpoint has lasted for over six years and continues to yield great results.
